we have a manager, too
Libby Wyrum operates a consultancy that specializes in growing and marketing local food businesses, called FRANK & ERNEST MARKETS. Since April of 2014 she has managed the Linden Hills Farmers' Market. Wyrum has worked in grassroots organizing and public relations for the duration of her career. She served as a board member for the Sustainable Farming Association, and worked for Gardens of Eagan, a 125-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Northfield, Minnesota. While there she focused on customer diversification and business development. Her other organizing work includes serving as a consultant with Grassroots Solutions. For five years, she worked with the Minnesota House of Representatives as a committee administrator and legislative assistant. She is passionate about developing a strong local food shed.
Founded in 2012, The Linden Hills Farmers' Market’s mission is to support & strengthen the connection between the local community, local growers, local artisans & musicians by creating opportunities for education about the environment, nutritional values & the importance of buying + consuming locally produced goods.
Working with RED MARKET the LHFM incorporates both retail and bulk buying opportunities on the same day and in the same location.
just as the linden hills community is unique
so is our market
Our setup is simple. More than 50 vendors focused on selling, sampling and savoring locally-sourced food. Our purveyors are as awesome as our neighborhood. Farmers who specialize in growing unique heirloom vegetables, fruits and herbs - innovative, start-up food entrepreneurs you cannot find elsewhere, and food trucks crafting dishes from ingredients bought on site that morning.
Our take is this. Our purveyors have created a real sense of community with this market, not just for the customers - but, also, for the food artisans and culinary trendsetters that curate and buy from our market. The Linden Hills' Community has a great thing going with this market!
