We are always reviewing applications, and accept new applicants 12 months out of the year.
Furthermore, we create a market and not a monoply. That means we are looking for vendors with a strong point of view and high-quality products. That means that even if we already have a vendor selling this product - we are always considering new and different vendors to incorporate into our marketplace. If you are in doubt if you should apply - just do it. By contacting our market manager, and then asking this same question (e.g. "is there still room" and "are you still accepting applications?" - she will say the same thing "apply." We want to know more about you - let your point of view shine.
Our market incorporates both retail and bulk sales opportunities on the same day and in the same location. There is no other market like it in the Twin Cities, and very few in the United States. Just as the Linden Hills Community is unique, so is our market.
Our setup is simple. More than 50 vendors focused on selling, sampling and savoring locally-sourced food. FYI: we move indoors for our holiday marketplace. Our purveyors are as awesome as our neighborhood. Farmers who specialize in growing unique heirloom vegetables, fruits and herbs - innovative, start-up food entrepreneurs you cannot find elsewhere, and food trucks crafting dishes from ingredients bought on site that morning. Only during our holiday season do we bring in artisan vendors.
Our take is this. Our purveyors have created a real sense of community with this market, not just for the customers - but, also, for the food artisans and culinary trendsetters that curate and buy from our market. The Linden Hills' Community has a great thing going with this market!
